Om kaffen
Tanzania is known for its high-quality Arabica coffee, which is famous for its lively acidity and fruity, fresh notes. A cup of Tanzanian coffee is often reminiscent of Ethiopian or Kenyan coffee, as they share the same origin. Tanzania Peaberry in particular is considered an exclusive delicacy among coffee enthusiasts.
Tanzania is the world's 18th largest producer of coffee, accounting for approximately 0.6% of global coffee production. Approximately 70% of the coffee grown in the country is washed Arabica. Almost all Tanzanian coffee comes from family-owned farms located at an altitude of 1400-1800 meters.
