Comandante, C40 MK4 Nitro Blade, Copper Mountain

This hand grinder from German Comandante, model C40 Nitro Blade Chocolate, is manufactured in top quality. The conical grinder blades ensure uniform and precise grinding of your coffee.

The grinding chamber of this grinder is made of stainless steel and is surrounded by a thin layer of dark wood veneer. The grinder blades are made of a special type of steel that is extremely durable, and they ensure a very uniform distribution of the coffee particles, which makes it possible to grind the coffee for everything from espresso to piston coffee. It performs particularly well when it comes to pour-over and plunger coffee.

The ground coffee is collected in a small glass container under the grinder, which can easily be unscrewed and emptied into your coffee maker. The container has a capacity of approximately 40 grams. Thanks to the design of the swing arm, it is relatively easy to use the hand grinder. Grinding coffee for a double espresso takes about 40 seconds, while grinding 12 grams for a Hario takes about 25 seconds.

The MK4 upgrade includes:

• A new transparent polymer bean container that is lighter and more durable than the previous glass version. (However, the brown container is still made of glass.)
• The polymer bean container is lighter, which makes it more comfortable to take with you on trips, and it can also be used as a cup due to its good thermal insulation.
• A new design on the axle frame prevents the beans from getting stuck in the grinder frame.
